Radionecrosis in Neuro-Oncology Working Group

This is a new project aimed at developing a national consensus on the management of radionecrosis, led by TJ Fellow Dr Sarah Kingdon.

This initiative builds on recent work evaluating the use of bevacizumab across the United Kingdom, where data from the Tessa Jowell Centre of Excellence applications highlighted both a strong demand for access to bevacizumab and current inequities in availability. Further insights have emerged from a comprehensive survey of all UK neuro-oncology centres, initiated by Shefali Parikh, with findings to be presented at the upcoming EANO meeting.

In light of these findings, we are looking to form a working group to explore this topic in depth, in collaboration with relevant professional organisations to ensure the consensus reflects both the best available evidence and current best practice. Your expertise and input would be highly valued as we work together to address this important issue.
