Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission (TJBCM) is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in every part of our work and supply chains. We support the aims of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and expect the same standards from all those we work with.
Our Organisation
Founded in 2018, the TJBCM is dedicated to transforming brain tumour treatment and research in the UK and internationally. It brings together government, academia, NHS, industry, charities, and patient groups to accelerate research, improve care, and train the neuro-oncology workforce. Our risk of modern slavery is low, but we remain vigilant.
Supply Chains
Our suppliers mainly provide professional, administrative and event services. We work only with trusted partners who comply with fair-labour and human-rights laws.
Policies and Practice
We uphold ethical procurement, safeguarding and whistleblowing policies, and a Code of Conduct for all staff. These ensure transparency, integrity and accountability.
Due Diligence and Training
We assess new suppliers and train staff to recognise and report any concerns about exploitation.
Continuous Improvement
We regularly review and strengthen our approach to ensure modern slavery has no place in our organisation or supply chains.
