The Tessa Jowell Neuro-oncology Fellowship
The Tessa Jowell Neuro-oncology Fellowship is an exceptional training opportunity aimed at clinicians nearing completion of training in clinical or medical oncology. The 12-month funded Fellowship aims to train a highly skilled clinician capable of appreciating the breadth of comprehensive brain tumour management to integrate their knowledge and experience to personalise and optimise cancer care. The fellow will also, through collaboration with prestigious clinical and research institutions, receive training to, in time, lead high-impact, practice-changing neuro-oncology clinical trials.
The successful candidate will be based at the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (CUH), one of the largest and best known acute hospital trusts and university teaching hospitals in the country. The CUH service, together with Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and Ipswich Hospital form the East of England Service, which is a dedicated Tessa Jowell Centre of Excellence for adults with a brain tumour. The post will be supervised by Dr Hannah Buckley, a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of CNS tumours and thyroid cancer with research experience and interests in modulation of the tumour micro-environment and molecular radiotherapy in neuro-oncology and thyroid cancer.

Eligibility Criteria
- Completion or near-completion of training in medical or clinical oncology.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of patients with a full range of cancer types.
- Interest in pursuing a clinical academic career focused on neuro-oncology.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
