Key Information

The Tessa Jowell Neuro-oncology Fellowship

The Tessa Jowell Neuro-oncology Fellowship is an exceptional training opportunity aimed at clinicians nearing completion of training in clinical or medical oncology. The 12-month funded Fellowship aims to train a highly skilled clinician capable of appreciating the breadth of comprehensive brain tumour management and integrate knowledge and experience to personalise and optimise cancer care. The Fellow will also develop the necessary research skills to, in time, lead high-impact, practice-changing neuro-oncology clinical trials.

This is a joint fellowship based at The Edinburgh Centre for Neuro-oncology and Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.  The Edinburgh and Glasgow centres have a strong track record of collaboration through the Cancer Research UK Scotland Centre, within which glioblastoma is a key focus, and are highly complementary in their strengths and areas of interest. Both centres have enthusiastic, research focused, multidisciplinary neuro-oncology clinical teams and offer a wealth of training opportunities, within 50 miles of each other and linked by excellent transport channels.
