Overview
Applications are now open for the Tessa Jowell ACT Neuro-Oncology Fellowship at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH).
This 12-month Fellowship is designed for clinical and medical oncology trainees at ST6 level or above who are nearing completion of their specialist training and who are committed to developing a career in neuro-oncology.
The successful Fellow will join the multidisciplinary neuro-oncology service at CUH, part of the East of England Tessa Jowell Centre of Excellence, gaining advanced experience in the treatment and management of patients with brain tumours. The programme provides exposure to complex radiotherapy and systemic treatments, precision medicine and molecular genomics, alongside opportunities to learn across neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neuropathology and neurology.
Cambridge offers a strong environment for developing an academic career in neuro-oncology, with access to a world-leading portfolio of translational and imaging research, precision medicine programmes, and early- and late-phase clinical trials. The Fellow will be supported to develop their own research interests and the clinical, research and leadership skills required to become a future leader in UK neuro-oncology.
The Fellowship will be supervised by Dr Hannah Buckley, Consultant Clinical Oncologist at CUH, and is co-funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT).
